This is one of the most beautiful devotional books I’ve ever read! The artwork in it is done by
@ruthchousimons who is just so talented. The artwork pairs perfectly with the quotes, Bible verses and beautiful hymn lyrics that are found throughout. While the theological concepts in this book were not new to me, this book was full of good reminders and encouragement. I liked that theological terms such as “sanctification” were defined, as this would be really helpful for a newer believer who is reading it. Ruth’s words were beautiful, encouraging and convicting. She focuses on ways that God’s character, faithfulness and attributes lead us through trials and bring us peace as we journey through life. This gorgeous book would make a perfect Christmas gift for anyone who is going through a hard time or who simply wants to draw closer to the Lord. I’d highly recommend this book! It’s so pretty that I think it might just live on my coffee table from now on.

This new book, by Ruth Chou Simons, is not only beautiful, but a place where we can come to drink the refreshing waters of Christ’s goodness towards us and remember how great, mighty, and majestic our God is! She has given us a treasure trove of biblically reflective writing, and the art is a place to linger long over and immerse yourself in the beauty of God’s creation. The book itself is a hardback volume, very well made, and I anticipate by the quality that it will last a lifetime (and hopefully more to pass down to generations to come). Thank you for creating a resource for us that gives us a clearer picture of our Lord, and truly revives and strengthens us to press on in our calling in this world by looking UP to the One whom we reflect.
