Playtime Manners for Little Monkeys

Susie Lee Jin

In this book—her third in the little monkey series (It’s Bedtime for Little Monkeys and Good Table Manners for Little Monkeys)—artist and author Susie Lee Jin teaches important lessons to little ones about playing nicely with friends. Brightly colored and impressively simple, this sturdy board book is full of wisdom and charm.

While the little monkeys play across the pages, they learn to be polite and kind, to share their toys, and to clean up when they are finished playing. Caught up in these sweet critters— antics, a child easily learns that manners at play make play fun.

A Word from the Author

“My dear mother will attest that I as a kid, I was a bossy playmate—too bad I didn’t have this book! Now that I’m a mom myself, I look forward to sharing Playtime Manners for Little Monkeys with my small son. Maybe he will glean some play date tips, and at least we will have fun reading together. Enjoy!”

“It is always a pleasure to have in my hands a book that a little child will hold and love. When the impressionable mind and heart of a child latches onto a colorful, fist sized treasure that he can carry around with him as he toddles throughout his unfolding life, and when that treasure can engage him with simple yet cute pictures, then we are ready to see a mind and heart embark on a learning adventure.”

Reader Reviews

“I was so happy to find that another of the monkey manners books was out. I love these books. They are an adorable and gentle way to open the manners discussion with little ones while at the same time having fun looking at the illustrations and reading the story. I especially love Playtime Manners for Little Monkeys because the same manners that serve you well on the playground will serve you well throughout life. And these are my go-to presents for little kids. They love them and so do their parents.

“We just received the board book Playtime Manners for Little Monkeys and are thrilled to add this to our collection. We are very pleased with this little book as we have been with all of Susie Lee Jin’s books, which we also have at our library. The bright colorful pictures are very eye catching and the messages about how to play well with others is always something needed. The simple language is ideal for sharing with the youngest children and easily understood. A lovely little book with a big message.”

“First Presbyterian Church has all of Susie Lee Jin's books in the toddler nursery.  The children enjoy them.  They have also been used in children's sermons during worship service.  I bought the books for my grandson as well.  They are great books that teach good things.”
