Harvest House Publishers

Harvest House Publishers

Harvest House Publishers was conceived in 1974 with just five titles and a dream in the heart of its founder, Bob Hawkins, Sr. to publish books to help the hurts of people. Within two years, five of its titles had sold more than 100,000 copies and one title was on the bestseller list for eight months in a row. By the late 1980s, Harvest House was among the top ten publishers of Christian literature.  The company publishes more than 150 new books each year and offers a strong backlist of more than 1200 titles.

Harvest House books gained a reputation of being affordable, trustworthy and practical by meeting people’s most current needs in three major categories: self-help (relationships, family, Christian living), Bible resources (Bibles, Bible studies, topical studies), and full color gift and children’s books featuring top licensed artists. More than 100 million Harvest House books have been sold worldwide in bookstores, gift stores, grocery stores, airports, mass market outlets, catalogs, on Internet sites, and in digital format online. Millions more have been sold in 75 languages around the world.

Annie LaPoint

Annie LaPoint

Annie LaPoint works exclusively in watercolors. Her passion for gardening is reflected in her beautiful flowers, ivies, and topiaries resting in or amid mossy terracotta pots and weathered vases. Each picture features a scripture reference hidden in the design. Annie’s artwork appears on ceramics, textiles, greeting cards, and other home and garden items.

A Word from the Author

“Many years ago I asked the Lord if one day my artwork could be in books that would draw people near to God and bring Him glory. As He answers my prayer in this beautiful way, I am humbled and grateful that my paintings are alongside the writing of these inspirational authors. I pray that people will be blessed, as they are encouraged to trust and follow the Lord no matter what. My hope is that the paintings and words in this book, will guide readers to be still in the love of Jesus Christ and rest in His grace each day.”

Quiet Moments in the Garden is a beautiful blend of art rendering God’s creative handiwork and reflections of God’s Word.  I love her renderings which illustrate the peace that can be found in well-watered and well-nurtured gardens, much like the peace we can find when we draw near to God and admire His handiwork and feed on the fruit of His Spirit.  I love the featured ‘hidden scripture’ in her artwork which reveals her heart for God in her life.  Well done, Annie.”
