What Little Boys Are Made Of

Loving Who They Are and Who They Will Become

Jim Daly

Mischief dons blue jeans and totes a fishing pole in Jim Daly’s Americana artwork featured throughout this unforgettable exploration of boyhood. Sweet writings express virtues gathered like treasures along a boy’s journey to becoming a man in this gift for sons, fathers, and anyone in love with a boy, little or big, who dreams of lazy days with bullfrogs and buddies.

Editorial Reviews

“Each page has a familiar or famous quote about little boys.

Example 1: ‘How beautiful is youth! How Bright it gleams: What is illusions, aspirations, dreams!  Book of Beginnings, Story without End, Each maid a heroine, and each man a friend!’—Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

Example 2: ‘I was so pleased giving the slip to Long John that I began to enjoy  myself and look around me with some interest on the strange land that I was in...I now felt for the first time the joy of exploration.’—Robert Louis Stevenson, Treasure Island.

Reader Reviews

“I had the opportunity to see and read this book by chance. One of the most delightful books I have seen in a long time. It will make a wonderful baby gift to present to new parents of a little boy. And it certainly reminded me of my two grandsons. The artwork is wonderful!”
