A Wedding for Julia, the third book in a romantic series from popular author Vannetta Chapman, takes a last look at the Amish community of Pebble Creek and the kind, caring people there. As they face challenges from the English world, they come together to reach out to their non-Amish neighbors while still preserving their cherished Plain ways.

Julia Beechy is so stunned, she can hardly breathe. Her mother’s announcement that she must either marry or move from the family home upon her mother’s imminent death catches Julia by surprise. How can she leave the only home she has ever known? What about her dream of opening her own Plain café?

When Caleb Zook offers support, comfort, and a solution, Julia is afraid to accept it. Can she marry someone she barely knows? Is it the right thing to do? Is this God’s plan for her future?

Caleb thought his time for marrying was long past, but he feels a stirring in his heart he cannot shake for this beautiful, forlorn woman. Amid the circumstances of this life-altering decision, the people of Pebble Creek weather the worst storm to hit Wisconsin in the last hundred years. Where will Julia and Caleb be on the other side of it?

A Word from the Author

"I had the awesome experience of participating in a Bible study entitled, The Bible in 90 Days. It was during that study that I came across Genesis 24:67. ‘Isaac brought Rebekah into his mother Sarah’s tent, and she became his wife. He loved her deeply, and she was a special comfort to him after the death of his mother.’ I couldn't let go of that image of God providing a lifelong love for Isaac before he had even met the woman. And Isaac, he trusted God and married Rebekah. What a wonderful God we serve. Julia's story began there, in the pages of Genesis. I hope it is one that brings you hope, inspiration, and a touch of God's grace."
Vannetta Chapman, author of A Wedding for Julia

“I loved A Wedding for Julia! Vannetta Chapman has given us another page turning, keep-you-reading-until-you-finish-it book! If you haven’t had a chance to meet all the wonderful characters of The Pebble Creek Series, now is definitely the time to get to know them all. You will not be disappointed!”

“One of the things I liked best about A Wedding for Julia was Vannetta’s attention to detail. A fair amount of research must have gone into the part of the story about the storm and it showed. I really liked the entire book, but the storm scenes quickly became my favorites as the author did an excellent job meshing historical facts with a modern setting. I have enjoyed the entire series and would recommend all of the books to anyone that enjoys the Amish genre or would like to give it a try.”

“Vannetta Chapman has written another great book. It kept me interested from beginning to end and left me wanting more from the people of Pebble Creek. All the characters in this book brought so much inspiration to me. It is a book that I will remember for a long time to come.”

“It has been a very long time since a book has touched me like A Wedding for Julia has. I love Pebble Creek and the community of people that Vannetta has caused us to cherish. It is just a lovely book that will hold your heart long after you read the last sentence.”
Peggy Rayburn

“One of the very best Amish fiction books ever. This book leaves you thinking about the story line long after you close the last page of the book and yearn for more. This book leaves the reader wanting a Pebble Creek reunion.”
Lorri Graves

“Wow. The way Vannetta Chapman writes captures all of me and I feel as if I am walking through her books as a character. The first two books in this trilogy were fantastic and I recommended them, but this final book is awesome. It takes you to places that no other Amish novel that I have read has taken me. The voice she writes with is so current and aware of the rest of the world, but captures the Amish way and how they would seem to respond to life events so realistically. Not only is this a book you won't want to put down, but when you are done with it, it will be engrained in your mind for a time to come.”
—Jayme Fanucci

A Wedding for Julia is well-written and an easy-read—you will find yourself anxious to get to the next chapter. I loved the use of the Psalms throughout the book, the faith exhibited that God is in control, and the hope and love that is shown even to total strangers. I definitely recommend this book as well as A Promise for Miriam and A Home for Lydia in the Pebble Creek series.”
—Linda McFarland

A Wedding for Julia is a true delight on many levels. All of the characters are created in a way that makes you love them, cheer for them and want to wipe away their tears. Once the storm begins, fasten your seatbelt! You are taken on a journey so well described that you feel every force of Mother Nature. Thank you, Ms. Chapman, for sharing your remarkable gift with us!”
—Kate Kleinert

“This book spoke to my heart in so many ways. God’s word jumped out at me throughout the pages. I read this book with a roller coaster of emotions—I found the tears falling as I read through the last pages of this book and I did not want the story to end. It was that good! I hope that we will see another book following up on what happened to these characters that stole my heart.”
—Judy Burgi

“The character development was outstanding. To me, a truly great book has to allow me to identify with at least one of the characters. This book met this need in a big way. The plot is full of unexpected twists and turns. I was totally entranced as I read. This book is definitely a page turner.”
—Karla Hanns, karla-hanns-karla.blogspot.ca

“Vannetta Chapman has done it again—she has written another truly wonderful Amish novel. In A Wedding for Julia, the story and characters grasp readers on the first page and don't release them until the final page is turned. I promise you will become attached to the characters and will laugh and cry with them as you would with members of your own family.”
Susan Simpson

“I loved how this was a story of relationships that were far from perfect and how by God’s grace and mercy they were able to come through adversity. This is not the normal bonnet book and actually had a meatier story than most. I love Vannetta’s writing because she is full of description and you feel as if you are a part of her story. This is one of the most beautiful stories I’ve yet to read.”
Donita Corman

A Wedding for Julia is proof that Pebble Creek is an example of a little piece of God’s handiwork in a place to live. The reader is drawn in once again and becomes a part of Pebble Creek. Each book in the series connects the old characters with new, and I hope we get to read more in a continued story.”
Judy Corbin

“This book features Chapman's unusual way of peeking into the Amish life as their traditional ways meet the modern world. From beginning to end, the most powerful aspect of the story to me is the capacity of family to hold, heal, and nourish individual members of a clan. It's a story of individuals trying to make the best of what life has handed them, with faith in God and trust in each other as a final result, which is the way God has intended it to work from the beginning.”
Connie Ruggles

“The third book in the Pebble Creek Amish series, A Wedding for Julia, is like a good visit with old friends. The author’s ability to paint the settings with words and bring her characters to life makes the reader feel that they have truly experienced a visit with the plain folks of Pebble Creek.”
Gloria Willingham

"Vannetta Chapman writes excellent Amish novels.”
Jo Huddleston, author of the Caney Creek Series
